Fieldfare

(Science: zoology) a small thrush (turdus pilaris) which breeds in northern Europe and winters in Great Britain. The head, nape, and lower part of the back are ash-coloured; the upper part of the back and wing coverts, chestnut.

Synonym: fellfare.
