A glycoprotein lectin isolated from Canavalia ensiformis, commonly known as the jack bean.


Supplement

This lectin has been shown to stimulate T-cell production and reacts with polyglucosans causing agglutination in the blood of mammals. Is used in affinity chromatography for isolation of sugars or glycoproteins.
