(Science: chemical) 3-veratroylveracevine. One of the components in the veratrine mixture of alkaloids. Found in the seed of schoenocaulon officinale and in rhizome of veratrum album l., liliaceae.

Chemical name: Cevane-3,4,12,14,16,17,20-heptol, 4,9-epoxy-, 3-(3,4-dimethoxybenzoate), (3beta,4alpha,16beta)-
