(Science: anatomy, artery) origin, 3rd part of maxillary artery within pterygopalatine fossa; distribution, molar and premolar teeth, gingiva and mucous membrane of maxillary sinus.

Synonym: arteria alveolaris superior posterior, posterior alveolar artery, posterior dental artery.
