Montgomery's follicles --> areolar glands

A number of small mammary glands forming small rounded projections from the surface of the areola of the breast; they enlarge with pregnancy and during lactation secrete a substance presumed to resist chapping.

Synonym: glandulae areolares, montgomery's follicles, montgomery's glands.
