(Science: protein) actin binding protein (13.5 kD) from dictyostelium discoideum. Promotes f actin polymerisation and binds to microfilament bundles but is very ph sensitive as a result of having 31 histidine residues in a total of 118. Structure (though not sequence) very similar to FGF and il-1.
