Granzymes

serine proteases that represent most of the granule content of t cytotoxic cells. It has been postulated that these are involved in the killing mechanism of cytotoxic, natural killer and regulatory t cells.Their exact mechanism of action is not known, however perforin protein may help them in entering inside the target cell. They may act via a special receptor expressed on target cell surface or there may be a charge difference on the surface of target cell leading to attachment to the target cell. Origin: granule _ -zyme
