Granular leukocyte

Any of the leukocytes characterized by the presence of numerous cytoplasmic granules as observed through light microscopy


Through light microscopy and staining technique, granules in the cytoplasm of leukocytes can be observed. And based on the presence of these granules, leukocytes can be classified as either granular or agranular. Granular leukocytes have numerous cytoplasmic granules whereas agranular leukocytes seem to lack them when viewed under light microscopy.
