(Science: botany) The genus to which belongs the single species D. Camphora, a lofty resinous tree of borneo and Sumatra, yielding borneo camphor and camphor oil.

Origin: NL, fr. Gr. Oak _ acorn _ appearance. The fruit remotely resembles an acorn in its cup.
