Cryptogamia

a montaxonomic division of the plant kingdom containing all forms of plant Life that do not reproduce by means of seeds; included are the algae, bacteria, fungi, lichens, mosses, liverworts, ferns, horsetails, and club mosses.

Origin: crypto-_ g. Gamos, marriage
