Coronin

(Science: protein) actin binding protein (55 kD) of dictyostelium discoideum. Associated with crown shaped cell surface projections of growth phase cells. Accumulates at front of cells responding to a chemotactic gradient of camp. Amino terminal domain has similaritiy to subunits of G-proteins, c terminal has high helical content.
