Callithrix

a genus of callitrichinae occurring in forests of brazil and bolivia and containing eight species. They are c. Jacchus (common marmoset), c. Argentata (black-tailed marmoset), c. Chrysoleuca (yellow-legged or golden marmoset), c. Aurita (white-eared marmoset), c. Flaviceps (buff-headed marmoset), c. Penicillata (black-pencilled or black-eared marmoset), c. Geoffroyi (white-fronted or geoffrey's marmoset) and c. Santaremensis (santarem marmoset).
