Antitumour enzyme

(Science: enzyme) An enzyme that stimulates the degradation of a particular metabolite that cannot be synthesised by tumour cells, inhibits the synthesis of a metabolite needed by tumour cells, or inhibits tumour-specific dna utilization; e.g., asparaginase.
