Amorphous phosphorus

red phosphorus, an allotropic form of phosphorus formed by heating ordinary phosphorus, in the absence of oxygenamorphous dark red mass or powder, nonpoisonous, and much less flammable than ordinary phosphorus; it may be reconverted to the latter by heatingnitrogen gas.
