3D Extracellular Matrix

Post by gringo » Thu Feb 22, 2007 10:23 pm

I am currently working on a tissue engineering project involving cardiospheres and am in need of a chemically defined extracellular matrix for my project. I ran across a company called Glycosan Biosystems (www-glycosan-com) and was wondering if anyone had heard of them, and if they had, what they thought of them. Their website makes it sound good, but I don't know of anyone who has used the product before. I have also checked out Puramatrix (www-puramatrix-com). I know people who have used Puramatrix and they have gotten good results with their cells adhering to the gel, but they said it was somewhat difficult to use (it gels too fast and they have pH problems). If anyone can give me a hint as to what they are using it would be greatly appreciated.
