questions about FACS

Post by biologyny » Sat Jan 27, 2007 8:10 am

I use FACS to detect the tension of fluorescent probe ?
I just need the value which reflecting the tension of the fluorescence
Which data is my target: Mean or Geo mean?
I am totally confused by FACS! What is "Mean" and "Geo Mean" respectively?

In the paper, I will just report some figures without the picture obtained from FACS? Is it accetable?

my guess is that mean is the 'normal' mean and 'geo mean' is the geometrical mean calculated as the n-th powerroot of the results multiplied with each other
