beetroot coursework

Post by TYkimbers » Tue Jan 23, 2007 5:02 pm

Hey, I have to make a plan for this question:

Investigation into the effect of heat on beetroot cell membranes (to see how much red pigment will diffuse into its surrounding, e.g. water)
I know that I have to use a colourimeter and different tempereatures but I don't know how to do the experiment.
Could someone help me out here please!!!
Thanx and much appreciated!

Any guesses? I mean, usually in experiments you just change one factor and see how it affects the other...

you would keep the amount of beetroot used the same and the amount of water. to keep the beetroot the same size you could use a cork bora and scalpul. Just a couple of suggestions.
hope this helps :)
