hereditary. (i think. or is there another word?)

Its genetics
I checked on the wonderful wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_colour
I didnt know this but, two genes have been identified which control eye color. EYCL3 is found on chromosome 15 and codes for brown and blue eyes (BEY). EYCL1, found on chromosome 19, codes for green and blue eyes (GEY).
Although other genes are involved.
Interesting...

Thats not fair. I didnt get those 4 options.

Blue eye colour is recessive. So it cant be simple dominant.
Whats the simple bit about?
The genetics of eye colour and dominant genes isn't simple. It can be very complicated

Well there's more than one eye color so I would have said mutiple allelic because there's hazel, green, blue, brown, black...etc.

Eye color...

I think the main factor that dominates eye color is hereditary factor and the second is mutation.

I thing you better do some reading on the subject victor... mutation affects everything.. it is not involved in this subject in particluar.
PS: i would have said polygenic since there are 2 genes :D Unfortunatelly, i wasn't able to sign in yesterday
