Where are the water goes during anaerobic respiration?
We knew that water is released at the conversion of glycerate-2-phosphate to phosphoenolpyruvate in the glycolysis which occurs in the cytoplasm of the cell. When there is no oxygen present in the cell of animals, the cell undergoes anaerobic respiration to reduced the pyruvate to lactate. The question is where are the water goes when anaerobic respiration take place?
CH3COCOOH-------------------------->CH3CH0HCOOH
----PA--------------------------------------- LA-----------
---------------NADH2----->NAD +enzyme
See there is no any dehydration rection........
So no water is liberated...

neah, actually the enzyme enolase is still used and water is still released at that point, aerobic respiration or not. So what is your point?

No matter arobic or anarobic........ that has to take place...Glycolysis to for Pyruvate.
