biological clock

Post by chenwithasterisk » Thu Jan 11, 2007 10:05 am

why do animals such as bee and pigeon have an internal clock in order to navigate using the sun as a compass?

because they need to know along wat directions they are flying according to the position of the sun.therefore, they have to know at wat time wat position the sun would be found.this is done by using an internal clock.

does my answer sound ok?

the rhythm including endogenous and exgenous is not affected by the temperature, right?

however, in my exercise book, it says the an increase in temperature will cause the rhythm to increase-this is related to a specific example.however i totally disagree

1.local time in sydney is two hours behind local time in new zealand and two hours ahead of local time in Perth. Pam has an endogenous rhythm with a period of 25 hours. which would induce the less severe jet-lag - a flight from sydney to auckland or from sydney to perth?
