where is the connection between the muscles of the ventricles and the necessity of pushing the blood? and there is no push, the blood mostly falls in...

wait what is the difference between atrium and auricles? i am getting a bit confused...isnt that they both are the same?

When I first learned this many years ago, what we now call "atria" were called "auricles." Somewhere along the way (and this happens a LOT with anatomical terms), the Powers-That-Be tweaked the definitions. The atria are now the actual pumping spaces, and the auricles are the side-pockets (which vary a great deal from species to species).

If you learned from a dated source, this would be confusing.

no auricles are not the same as the atria. --> the auricles are part of the atria and these parts of the atria are called auricles, because they look like the 'ears' of the heart.
