Cell division

Post by Miss_Me » Fri Jan 05, 2007 6:46 pm

Hi

Can anyone tell me why it is important to study cell division in ALL contexts?

If anyone could explain in a little detail or with examples, it would be great.

Thanks in advance.

well because what u learn about cell division can help u understand what happens in ur body. and how ur cell divide. i know that this is not a very useful answer but if u want to find out more about ur body u have to learn this. and also because cell division is smth that puts the grounds of life

basically because it influences every aspect of biology. all organisms have cells that divide..

knowing the mechanisms of cell division can help you in developping a therapy for cancer for example.

Cell division can make us understand the develepment of embryo. Most of the organisms start from a cell ,known as zygote. the zygote will undergoes cell division to form an embryo and finally form a fetus. cell division let us understand the causes of tumor or cancer disease. Tumor and cancer disease are the disease where uncontrolled cell division occurs in the body.
