According to recent epidemiological studies, complications both for the mother and the baby are more frequent after C-section than after natural birth. Thus the authors were suggesting to limit the use of C-section to occasions that really call for it, rather than using them for simplicity.

for me id prefer vaginal delivery over c-section bcause healing is faster with vaginal delivery... but there are instances when c-section is a better option esp when baby's life is at risk.. hey read this.. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/c-section/PR00078
