Sponges and Hydras Question

Post by Acez » Thu Dec 07, 2006 1:06 am

For the organisms Sponges and Hydras, how do they benefit or affect the environment??

I really have no clue...the only thing I can think of is:

- sponges helps to clean other marine organisms (??)
- hydras can be food for other organisms.

Please help :-(

sponges - http://www.tolweb.org/treehouses/?treehouse_id=3431

hydras are not juz food for other organisms. some of them form symbiosis with green algae: http://www.biology-online.org/articles/ ... metals.htm
