Phylogenetics

Post by xtzaz » Wed May 11, 2005 10:22 am

Goodmorning! I' m working on microsatellites and tree constructions using identity-microsat-phylip-treeview software, and when I run microsat the system is stucked or it takes too long. I am new in this field and I would appriciate any help or piece of advice that anyone could give me. Is there any site that describes thoroughly the steps to be followed?
Thank you in advance!

Can you separate information into smaller sub-groups and run the microstate by any chance?

Comp speed

Hi

If am not wrong ur processor speed could be the possible reasons.see in the manual of that software they might have given the system requirements and also they have given the software speed for each processor . plz have a check in it.

If u run your input by splitting it the tree will vary and u may not get redundant results. May i know why ur using identity-microsat-phylip-treeview software and ur sequence numbers.

Also if u want to view tree u can use Phylodraw it is better.

Plz feel free to contact me at [email protected]
