Virus Titer

Post by Krypie » Wed Nov 22, 2006 9:16 pm

I have produced virus from Phoenix gag pol cells. I have viral supernatant stocks frozen down. I wanted to quantify virus titer. What would be the best approach.

Plaque formation if your virus lyse the cells it infects (mix different dilutions of your supernatant on top of a lawn of cell and count the lysis plaque per ml of solution considering the dilution)

Otherwise I do not have a clue.
