i read that klenow fragment do not have 5'->3' exonuclease activity.
so, how does this help it to be used in random priming??

Polymerase with 5`->3` exonuclease activity may shorten primers. Although its polymerase activity is stronger than exonuclease, it may remove dna primers without synthesisng new ones.
