RNA Primers synthesized from a strand of DNA

Post by chuka1212 » Mon Oct 23, 2006 11:19 pm

I received a challenging genetics homeowork problem in one of my classes and as it will probably show up on a future test, I would greatly appreciate if anyone could help with this:

This DNA sequence undergoes replication:

3' A A T C G A T G T A C G G T G 5'- Replication can begin anywhere along this strand, but will only begin at one location. Indicate the 8 base RNA primer that would be synthesized from thie strand. At which base would DNA Ligase from its covalent bond(s)????
