What do the genetic distances translate to in years?

Post by trent boyett » Mon Oct 23, 2006 3:02 pm

Hello there,
I was wondering if anyone had any information of which would help me find out how genetic 'distances' can be translated into years, e.g mDNA.

Kind regards.

You mean how mutations between two homologous sequences can be translated into years between divergence? I do not know the number, and I know that they ae not so precise but you shold look for biological clock or evolutionary clock. You might find some answers.
