Can u help me with a couple questions?

Post by Jack555 » Tue Oct 17, 2006 7:56 am

I have a midterm tommorow and don't understand a few questions.

1. Which Possesses greater potential energy, ATP or ADP.
2. Which is more stable.
3. Which has lower entropy.

Those are my main questions

If you could also answer these it would help but those are the ones I'm confused on.

4. Describe how ATP can be used to couple exergonic and endergonic reactions.

5.How does ATP drive endergonic reactions.

This is a basic bio class for bio majors in college. I think I get everything but I'm not positive. Basic answers are fine. thanks

If it is for midterm, you should get the information from your class. I think it is also provided in the textbook :)

Hints:
ATP = ADP + Pi
ADP = AMP + Pi

I got a 99/100 FTW :D

It was way easier that i though it would be.

^^^And i never said I didn't know them completely. I just don't have specific answers that I know are 100 percent correct. Basically just using my knowledge of ATP I can answer them but I wasnt sure if i was right or not (and it wasn't on the test)

Thanks for the tip.
