Help needed - genomic clone and cDNA

Post by kma » Mon Oct 09, 2006 3:41 pm

If you had full cDNA clone for dog insulin and a peice of wolf liver, how would you go about obtaining a genomic clone of the reigon of wolf insulin gene (including the promoter)?

I'm a bit baffled :? , thanks in advance for any ideas/help :)

wolf and dog are species that didn';t diverge much from each other. So my opinion is to synthesize primers for the cDNA of dog insulin and use these to isolate insulin RNA out of wolf liver.
