I would like to know the experiences of those people who have ever been bitten by any of the most venomous snakes?

Snake bites

If a water moccasin counts, I had one. I went to the hospital and brought the snake with me. (I had killed it and wanted to be sure of its identity.) The dead snake caused a great deal of scare among hospital staff.

The ankle where I was bitten swelled a great deal and stayed that was for a couple of days. After that I was fine. It was a large snake and evidently didn't give me much venom. It may have used up some venom with its supper.

Most snakes will leave rather than bite. This one bit me because I made the mistake of stepping on it while barefoot. Rattlesnakes and copperheads leave the area when I have seen them. I don't kill snakes unless bitten. They are rather helpless creatures and do more good than harm in the environment.
