hi everybody
can someone tell me if i'm right on this: the ? reads "the average length of a drosophila is chromosome is 7.5mm, the average length of human chromosome is 20.6mm. what's their average length in base pairs???
ia the answer: 7.5/20.6=.3640

if not please show me how to calculate the distance
thanks

you need a conversion factor.... like how many baspairs are in a meter/centimeter/millimeter... to figure it out.

Thanks, I had completely forgotten about the conversion part….
As you gays can tell I’m a little slow when it comes to genetics and math, but I’m sure that with lots of practice I’ll be better at it

Once again thankssss
