Denature Peptides

Post by joe_561 » Mon Apr 25, 2005 11:45 am

Can peptides be denatured with alcohol or does alcohol only denature proteins?

if a peptide chain is smaller then we don't call it a protein. and if some agent denatures[ changes 3D structure] proteins then it should also denature peptides if they've got definite 3D structure.

thanks,

I agree, if the peptide is long enough to form a structure then it can become denatured
