Tutorial

Post by Condraz23 » Sun Aug 06, 2006 7:27 am

Any moderator may feel free to move this thread.

For anyone interested in the basic concepts of biology, here is a tutorial. There will be more information coming soon. The reason why I am posting this is to help people who don't know much about biology. I've noticed that some people find the tutorials on this website too hard. I'm also planning to publish this tutorial and would appreciate some feedback. Finally, another important reason is that I believe writing such a tutorial can extend my knowledge further.

Cells are the basic building blocks of life. An organism may be unicellular or multicellular. Unicellular organisms are composed of just one cell. Multicellular organisms are composed of more than one cell.

Cells are the basic building blocks of all life-forms on Earth. Yet, they are microscopic and impossible to see without a microscope. Cells are composed of tiny structures called organelles. Each organelle has a special function. There are two types of cells, prokaryotic and eukaryotic. A eukaryotic cell contains a nucleus. A prokaryotic cell does not contain a nucleus.

If you compile them all into a word file, I might be able to upload it onto the tutorial page. And thanks :), looks good so far.

I'm very interested in this myself. I plan on taking a General Biology course in the Spring.

I've PM-ed Condraz23 and I've told him to do the compiling into the Word and have it discussed with ERS..
Q: Why are chemists great for solving problems?
A: They have all the solutions.
