Tree Rings!!

:x What is the difference between cellular respiration and photosythesis??? what is the meaning of tree rings?? what are they for other then to tell there age?? please anyone help me Thank-You :wink:

Tree rings form because in winter, the cambrium (xylem, phloem etc) grows very slowly, with small cells, and in spring/simmer it grows rapidly with larger cells. As the tree grows, these differences are shown as bands in the wood. We can tell the conditions the tree was in during a year from the thickness and features of these rings
