CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MAINTANENCE AND EXPRESSION HOST CELLS? :roll:
WHT I KNOW IS THAT :idea: top10 is a maintenance host and bl21(de3) is an expression host. pls help. :!:

I have never come across top10 before, but a little search in google it turned up to be from invitrogen and from what I could understand they are kind of the same as xl1blue cells.

Bl21, doesnt produce alot of plasmids but it expresses genes and produces protein.
