homework question

hi there kind of stuck on a problem!
8. The light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis result in the
A. synthesis of glucose molecules
B. conversion of glucose to starch
C. release of energy from glucose molecules
D. formation of ATP and NADPH molecules


I don't think it is d or b so I think it is a or C whcic one do you guys think is the most appropriate?

Well A and C are pretty opposite so if you know what photosynthesis, it should be obvious. Yet the first words of the question are essential and You should really think of what is this light-dependant reactions are.
