Help with biology lab project

Post by seliipfe » Wed Apr 26, 2006 6:18 pm

I have a biology project to do for my lab over evolution of a particular organism. Any suggestions on what organism? Is there one out there that has the most information to be accessed and enough for a 10 minute power point presentation??

The easiest way (in my opinion) to fill time on a topic like evolution is to pick a very specialized animal. For example, if you talk about bats, you can describe how flight evolved for them, and how echolocation evolved, etc. This lets you talk about a lot of specialized structures, and also lets you talk about how the benefit of one change (like the ability to fly) would spread through a population, which lets you talk about methods and patterns of evolution.
