I cannot find where pole or equator has anything to do with cell vocab. plz help..... send me a message or something.....

pole: you can think as the opposite sides of the cell.

Its an analogy to help you remember better the poles are the ends like on the earth and the metaphase plate is like the equator.

Also note that the metaphase plate isn't actually real.

Yeah in other languages its called the metaphase plane. Plate is pretty misleading.
