Exctinction & Evolution

Post by ballagrl23 » Fri Apr 14, 2006 9:27 pm

I am taking a Grade 12 Biology course on-line and I could use some help with an assignment.

"Your assignment is to summarize (in several paragraphs) how the mass extinction of the dinosaurs affected the evolution of mammals. Your answer should use the language of evolutionary theory and should mention "punctuated equilibrium" as part of you explanation. Include a list of the sources you used at the end of your write up."

Any help would be great!

You should first understand and search for some keyterms using google

mammal evolution
punctuated equilibrium
ecological niche
Cretaceous Extinction

you'll find some links like this

If you have any other specific questions or concerns maybe we can talk then ;)

Oh Linn...

Think of what resources dinosaurs and mammals needed, respectively. That should give you a good start.
