Why is the living attentuated chickenpox vaccine NOT recommended for children under 1 year of age?

I think because even a weaker version of the virus is still dangers to a kid of that age. That is just a guess though.

i think you miss something here,
it should have read living attentuated chickenpox vaccine NOT recommended for children under 1 year of age and whose mother have had chickenpox
ths is because they usually retain partial immunity from their mother
