Post by LadyBlue » Sat Apr 01, 2006 11:14 pm

What energy pathway is used to maufacture beer?
So far I know that Glycolysis is used in alcoholic fermentaion b/c glucose yields alcohol, since alcohol is a fermentaion it is using anaerobic repiration and in part is aerobic (+ O2-glycolysis & krebs cycle).

Fermentation does not contain Krebs cycle. It is anaerobic. Only glycolysis and some more reactions which ends up with alcohol.
