C2C12 myoblasts - attachment problems!!!

Post by Ainhoa M » Thu Mar 30, 2006 4:01 pm

Good afternoon,

Can anyone solve me this problem please?

C2C12 myoblasts, always grown attached to culture flasks...Suddenly one week ago more or less lots of them are free-floating forming aggregates most of the time...although lots are also growing attached to the surface. But the view in the light-microscope is not normal at all..there shouldn't be so many cells floating in the culture medium.

Could anyone tell me why is this happening? I took a look at the medium alone (on a petri dish), and it doesn't seem to be contaminated.

Thank you very much beforehand. I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
