A1: Body uses both carbs and lipids to produce energy. Lipid is mostly used as storage, because the molecule carries lot energy. Carbs are easier to be broken down so the primary source of energy is carbs.

A2: All I can say is that some are not coded to be synthesized.

lipids are mostly used as stored energy because they require a lot of oxygen to get hydrolized, whereas carbohydrates require mush less oxygen, thats why glucose is taken for instant energy not oil or ghee.
