How to get two oligonucleotides with only 1nt diff in length

Post by zlleaf » Mon Mar 27, 2006 10:52 pm

We want to test the resolution of our genescan machine so we propose to load a mixture of two dye-labeled oligonucleotides with only 1nt difference in length (e.g., 300 nt and 301 nt) and see if the machine is able to distinguish them. Is there a quick and easy way to get this? I know we can purchase short labeled oligos (<100 nt) directly, but we want to test some longer ones, too.
