The rainforest is a huge resource for the widest variety of drugs due to its large selection of plantlife.

I think another thing to bring up is that since there is so mucb biodiversity and unknown species in the rainforest that we might be able to find a better antibiotic (etc...) because a lot of our drugs are becoming less effective.

many natural drug come from the secondary metabolism of plants
