It may have something to do with chlorophyll. I am not very sure.

Photosynthesis evolved to show green plants, because they use the chlorophil molecule to capture light, and cholorophil happens to be green. That simply happened by chance. it would have made no difference if it had evolved to be yellow. Photosynthesis uses red light best, because the photons are the most numerous in it. So you needed something to be some other color than red, i guess... I think you should take into account the photosynthetic flax photon density.

Green light is the light with the most energy per wavelength, therefore it would be more effective to abosorb greenlight. Look at the visible light spectrum:)

No.
Green light does not have the most energy. Blue light has more energy than green light.
And actually, the types of light with high energy are used ineficiently because they have a low number of photons. That's why plant's DON'T use green light. They reflect it, so you see them as green. Plants use very efficinetly light with low energy and many photons, such as red.

Chlorophyll, the green pigment common to all photosynthetic cells, absorbs all wavelengths of visible light except green, which it reflects to be detected by our eyes. Black pigments absorb all of the wavelengths that strike them. White pigments/lighter colors reflect all or almost all of the energy striking them. Pigments have their own characteristic absorption spectra, the absorption pattern of a given pigment.

It because plants evolved underwater, where all the green colored light was absorbed by Halobacterium. Plants are green becauses they absorb the remaining colors.

But actually i'm not getting why the flux density of red light would be more than light with lesser wavelengths...
& why does more 'number' is more efficient than the 'more' energy mechanism of photoenergiation... :shock:

It's true but only in a half.
Photosynthesis on land evolved to green colour, because it is the less effective for them (I think) and they use other waveneghts for carrying out photosynthesis - blue and red is the most effective for terrestial plants.
Water plants and algae use different wavelenghts because water absorbs part of radiation. This is the reason, why green plants, brown and red algae grow on different dephts.
