Mitochondria!
Why energy can only be syntesized only in mitochondria, one told me that this is due to specific enzymes, which are only present in mitochondria, if this is correct than tell me the name of these enzymes.
Thanks in advance:P

Energy is a relative term. Glycolysis, which occurs in the cytoplasm. Generates 2 molecule of ATP per molecule of glucose. ATP is a direct energy source. Glycolysis and the citric acid cycle, which occurs in matrix of mitochondria, generate potential energy in the form of NADH and FADH2. The potential of these molecules, which store electrons, is realized near the mitochondrial inner membrane through the electron transport system. Cytochromes, protein complexes with easily redoxed metals at their centers help to generate a H+ gradient across the inner membrane. This gradient helps to generate ATPs. Does this help?
