The One Question That Stumped My Biology Teacher

Post by chocaholic819 » Wed Feb 15, 2006 1:45 am

Before we were born, were we dead?
We weren't alive, right?
So we must be dead, right?
:shock: riiiight?
Maybe it would be right to say "you weren't."
but how could we "not be" if we "were not"?
It's confusing...

Maybe not a very good answer but it has been said that energy can never be created nor destroyed. It can however be manipulated and/or changed. We have been from the beginning, we are and have always been a form of energy. I do not wish to argue this nor is it my intent to force this concept upon you. You are entitled to your own beliefs :)

Well before you were born, you weren't the opposite of life, you were the lack of you didn't actually exist...but you're not dead; to be dead you need to exist first.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;

It should be understood that:
(1) The basic unit of LIFE is cell. It is where the life begins.
(2) As someone already mentioned here, if we are not alive, it does not mean that we are dead. Analogous to if you don't turn left, it doesn't mean that you turn right.

A little clue for you, I hope you can understand it now.

Dr.Stein - always answer the question with question 8)
